Olotayan Island- One of the captivating Beauty of Capiz

October 21, 2008

Olotayan is a small island and one of the captivating beauties that can be found in the province of capiz. I have been there in olotayan so many times when I was in high school. I have friends that are residing in punta cogon, which is near closer to Olotayan Island. This is one of the beaches here in capiz province, and I know every year there’s always been an improvement on this island. In olotayan, you will witness the peaceful environment and there’s no such electricity in that place.

Actually one of my friends in punta cogon has a neighbor who owns a small boat. We hired them to go to Olotayan Island. The said island has beautiful white sand like the boracay beach which is also known for having white sand. We brought different kinds of foods and we eat there and some of my friends got swimming. Olotayan has also beautiful clear water that I love most. Going to olotayan island is such a memorable day for us. But this year, where not even go there because some of my friends and schoolmates during my high school have their own life, some of them were busy working and there are also who were busy for their studies, and I missed them a lot. I missed all my friends in high school, all the acquaintances we have and all the experiences we share during high school days. The memories we have in olotayan is such a unforgettable one, so I will keep it and share all the experiences I have in the captivating beauty of olotayan island.

cool. I also want to discover Olotayan since it is one of the hidden beaches in Panay. I’d really appreciate if you can email me the contact number of your friends neighbor so we will be able to rent his boat and tour Olotayan also.

I am a Native of Olatayan Island, coming from large clan of Arenajo-Aninang Family.I am so proud to be a daughter of Olatoyan Island.Back in the olden days ,when i was a girl Olotayan is gifted with wondrous beauties of nature, fruit bearing trees ,crops, bountiful harvest of fishes, crabs, shrimps and seashells so plenty that it can feed our whole clan and still have plenty to bring in the Market to sell or barter.Life is so simple then.I still remember when a German national used to lived at “Puting balas”,.He make a very pretty house for her beautiful Filipina wife the house is called “Villa Isabel”,.Fiesta is an Event to be excited for everybody is so happy children dancing in the sand and old people are so delighted, cause the German and his wife are very giving they held a big party for the natives and sponsor everything from food to prizes for games! They are God gift to Olotayan.I hope that they did not leave the Island, but it’s ok their pretty house is still there standing on top of that hill welcoming visitors..Oh and yes would you believe that Olotayan was visited by none other that Miss Universe Gloria Diaz that is in her Glorious days as Miss Universe, quiet something huh.
Thanks a lot for posting this and I would like to thank the people who has the Ingenuity to create this site.Long Live Olotayan Island!!!
